What is the Windows Search?
Windows Search is a feature that allows you to quickly find files, folders, apps, settings, and more on your PC. However, some users may want to disable Windows Search for various reasons, such as improving performance, saving disk space, or avoiding indexing errors. Method 2: Disable Windows Search through the Registry Editor

7. Right-click on the Windows Search key and select New > DWORD (32-bit) Value. Name the new value DisableWindowsSearch.
8. Double-click on the DisableWindowsSearch value and set its data to 1. This will disable Windows Search completely.
